Give Where You Live is a charitable organisation dedicated to reducing education, income and health disadvantage in the Geelong Region. Formerly United Way Geelong Region, Give Where You Live works on one simple yet powerful concept: together, we achieve more. We’re a volunteer-led, non-profit organisation which improves the Geelong region through building capacity and mobilising resources within our community; improving lives and creating positive, long term social change. Our role is to raise money from people and businesses in the Geelong region and be accountable for the stewardship of the money. Through a transparent process, we allocate the money to local community service organisations.
HOPE ASSISTANCE LOCAL TRADIES
HALT builds the bridge between both local and national support services for people at risk of suicide in the local community.
That is, to facilitate the spreading of information and raise awareness of groups such as Lifeline and Beyond Blue, open up conversations and break through the stigma attached to mental health.
We have identified a need for greater support for people at risk, especially men in ‘tradie’ occupations, although we recognise the need for such support is broad.
HALT’s vision is that every tradie in Australia knows how to look after their mental health and wellbeing.
Geelong Arts Centre exists to foster the artists and creative communities of Geelong, and to be the window through which our town can view the world’s creative talent. Fagg’s Group Pty Ltd have been long term sponsors of the Geelong Arts Centre and supporters of the arts community.
